Who We Are

Our Mission

CLA Mission

CLA enhances the quality of life for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities through community based supports.

We challenge assumptions and expand the boundaries of what is possible through the following values:

  • We are family centered. We understand that families take many forms. We know that every person we support is a member of a family and we know they deserve the same level of support we would want our family members to receive. We understand how important family is to our staff. We work to help them find balance between their work and home life.

  • We are accountable. We can be trusted, whether it’s with financial resources, upholding regulations, or ensuring the well-being of an individual we support, you can count on us.

  • We value dignity. Everyone at CLA has something to offer. They deserve to take up space, be heard, and grow. We believe in the dignity of risk and ensure individuals and staff have a safe space to take risks and challenge themselves.

  • We are Person Centered. We meet people where they are and embrace that we aren’t all at the same place. We believe that we are stronger when we are not all the same. Our uniqueness is our superpower.

  • We value compassion. We are empathetic to the feelings and experiences of others. We know that using compassion first always results in a more supportive environment where people feel safe to be themselves.

  • We are committed. When the going gets tough….we shine. We are agile and creative and find solutions that let us provide continuity for the individuals we support, no matter their circumstances. When you are a part of the CLA family, you have a commitment from us to stand by you.

  • We are collaborative. We can’t do it alone. We know we are stronger together. Whether it’s ensuring individuals have choice and a voice; working with partners and other providers; or the teamwork that happens everyday at CLA, the end result is always better when there is collaboration.
